About us
kaïkø
noun Sea with strong current
Contemporary, earthy, and nature-inspired — our collection of concrete home accessories, lighting, and jewellery is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted in the heart of Wicklow, Ireland. Each piece is a fusion of raw materiality and organic form, reflecting our deep connection to nature, architecture, and mindful living.

Who We Are
We’re Linda and Maciej — partners in both life and creativity. With backgrounds in interior architecture and concrete construction, we bring together a love for design, craftsmanship, and the natural world. Our shared passion for hiking through Wicklow’s wild landscapes fuels our creativity and grounds us in a deep connection to nature. We're endlessly fascinated by sacred geometry and draw inspiration from its harmony and symbolism in both our work and way of living. Holistic and sustainable practices are at the heart of everything we do — from the materials we choose to how we craft each piece by hand.
How It All Started
In November 2016, we founded Kaïkø Studïø, a contemporary homeware and furniture design studio born out of our shared vision to create honest, meaningful design. Not long after launching, we began exploring jewellery design using the same raw, industrial materials — a natural extension of our creative process that opened up a whole new way to express our aesthetic on a more intimate scale.
What We Create
Our work is a dialogue between the natural and the manmade. We mainly work with concrete, resin, and brass — materials chosen for their strength, texture, and raw beauty. Our designs blend organic, nature-inspired forms with architectural lines and geometric balance. During our time living in Dublin, our pieces reflected the city's structured, urban aesthetic: clean lines, minimal shapes, and a monochromatic palette. Since moving to the seaside town of Bray in County Wicklow, nature has become even more present in our work — flowing, asymmetrical forms and softer tones have started to emerge, with subtle accents of colour and texture that echo the changing landscape around us.
Inspiration & Creative Process
We believe in always staying curious. We regularly take part in craft workshops and creative classes, often outside of our own discipline. These experiences keep our perspective fresh and help us approach design in new, unexpected ways. Some of our most-loved pieces were born from experiments or happy accidents — while others are still evolving, resting on what we fondly call the “learning curve” shelf.
Our creative philosophy is deeply influenced by Wabi Sabi, the Japanese worldview that embraces imperfection, impermanence, and simplicity. You’ll see this reflected in our work: many of our concrete homewares feature raw textures and visible imperfections, which we highlight with gold accents rather than hide. In our jewellery, we use untreated brass, material that naturally oxidize and develop a patina over time — turning each piece into a living object that evolves with its wearer, becoming more beautiful with age.
